Carl T (they/them) is an improviser, writer, and teacher living in Brooklyn, NY. They perform as half of the duo Texas Seesaw Massacre. This duo, Carl and Levi Penley, host a monthly show at the People’s Improv Theater in Manhattan. They are a returning member of the Armory Improv team No Shots and perform Fridays at The Tank NYC. Carl is in charge of these groups’ social media profiles. Mx. Carl is also a theater and art teacher at City Kids Preschool and Afterschool in Wiliamsburg. Carl T’s original songs and mandolin skills are the foundation for the student performances at City Kids. Carl makes the sets and all the puppets and costumes used in City Kids’ productions. Carl is a celebrated actor. Some of their favorite roles include a one-eyed, heroine-addicted, Russian dog in Zapoi! at Annex Theatre, Bérenger in Rhinoceros at Strawberry Theatre Workshop, and Rocky Graves in Lost Falls at Cafe Nordo. Their original plays This Show Is About Progress, A Christmas Carol Thompson and God and Other Characters have been performed in Seattle. Mx.
